World Bank President Ajay Banga warned on Tuesday that the conflict in the Middle East will lead to a period of reduced global economic growth and increased inflation, regardless of the timeline for a resolution. Speaking at an Atlantic Council event prior to the spring meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, Banga noted that the organization is prepared to provide billions in funding to impacted nations through its specialized crisis windows.
