Ukraine is scheduled to resume oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline on Wednesday afternoon, according to industry sources. This move is part of a strategic effort by Kyiv to secure a 90 billion euro loan from the European Union, a financial package that the nation urgently requires for its economic stability.
The Hungarian energy corporation MOL has already submitted the initial transit applications to facilitate the restart. The scheduled volumes are intended to be distributed in equal proportions to both Hungary and Slovakia.
