Ukraine accepts EU help to restore Druzhba pipeline
Ukraine accepted European Union technical support and funding to repair the Druzhba pipeline. President Zelenskiy expects flows to resume within six weeks.
Ukraine has accepted a proposal from the European Union for technical and financial assistance to restore oil transit through the damaged Druzhba pipeline, which serves Hungary and Slovakia. EU Council President Antonio Costa confirmed the agreement on Tuesday following a formal communication from Kyiv.
In a letter addressed to EU leadership, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy indicated that repair operations on the critical energy infrastructure are nearing completion. He projected that the pumping station would likely be fully restored within approximately one and a half months, contingent upon the absence of further military interference from Russia.
