Infini Capital Reports Normal Operations Amid Probe
Infini Capital says operations are normal despite a Hong Kong insider trading probe. The firm is cooperating with authorities after eight arrests were made.
Infini Capital, a hedge fund based in Hong Kong, has stated that its business operations remain normal following reports of a regulatory investigation. The firm emphasized that its investment management and decision-making processes have not been affected by recent developments involving local authorities.
On Thursday, regulators in the region announced a significant crackdown on the financial industry, launching an insider trading investigation into two brokerages and one hedge fund. The operation resulted in the arrest of eight individuals. While the authorities did not initially name all parties, sources familiar with the matter identified Infini Capital as one of the firms involved.
