The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) executed raids on Monday and Tuesday, targeting two securities brokerages and a hedge fund. According to a joint statement, the enforcement action focused on eight individuals within these firms, with the investigation primarily concerned with conduct related to share placements. While specific details regarding the suspects or the firms involved were not immediately disclosed, the authorities noted that the operation is part of an ongoing effort to safeguard the integrity of the local capital markets.
