Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban has announced that his government will utilize political and financial leverage to compel Ukraine to reopen the Druzhba pipeline, a critical energy link for the region. The pipeline, which transports crude oil from Russia to Central European refineries, has been non-operational since late January. While Kyiv maintains that the infrastructure was severely damaged by a fire following a military strike, Budapest has suggested the delay in resuming flows is politically motivated.
