The United States allowed a sanctions waiver on Russia seaborne oil to lapse on Saturday, ending a month-long extension for global buyers. The waiver previously permitted India to purchase Russian crude after Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. Crude oil remained above $100 per barrel following the February 28 invasion of Ukraine.
