Ukraine's state energy firm Naftogaz is considering purchasing five gas-turbine compressor units from SIEMENS ENERGY AG, its energy ministry said on Monday morning. The talks follow a bilateral energy cooperation agreement signed during Germany Chancellor Friedrich Merz's visit to Ukraine. The discussions come as Russia continues sustained missile and drone strikes targeting Ukraine's power generation and heating networks ahead of the winter cold.
