UK Pledges 50M Pounds for Congo Ebola
Britain announced over fifty million pounds in new funding to help contain a severe Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The aid supports disease surveillance, frontline workers, and treatment access as cases surpass six thousand.

United Kingdom pledged more than £50 million ($67.56 million) in new funding on Tuesday to contain an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where confirmed cases have surpassed 6,000. The contribution elevates Britain's total epidemic response allocation to £78 million following an earlier £20 million pledge in May. The outbreak marks the country's largest-ever epidemic and ranks as the second-largest and fastest-spreading on record.
