Travere licenses Everest kidney drug in 1.14 billion deal
Travere will pay Everest Medicines 112.5 million dollars upfront for the kidney drug civorebrutinib. The deal includes over 1 billion dollars in milestones.
Travere Therapeutics will license an experimental kidney disease drug from Everest Medicines in a deal valued at up to $1.14 billion. This agreement secures exclusive rights for the oral treatment, civorebrutinib, in global markets excluding China and parts of East and Southeast Asia. The acquisition expands the Travere pipeline of rare disease therapies as it seeks to build upon its existing commercial portfolio.
### Deal Structure and Milestones Everest Medicines will receive an upfront payment of $112.5 million from Travere. The remaining $1.03 billion depends on the drug meeting specific development, regulatory, and sales milestones. Everest is also entitled to receive royalties on future sales of the treatment.
