Roche signs 2.3 billion dollar cancer drug deal with Nurix
Roche signed a deal with Nurix Therapeutics worth up to 2.3 billion dollars for a blood cancer drug. Trials begin this summer with a potential launch by 2030.
Roche Holding AG-BR entered a $2.3 billion licensing deal with Nurix Therapeutics Inc to develop the blood cancer drug bexobrutideg. This agreement centers on a late-stage oncology asset that utilizes protein degradation technology to target chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. The partnership secures a potential blockbuster treatment as Roche expands its specialized hematology portfolio.
Roche Holding AG-BR will cover 60% of development costs, while Nurix Therapeutics Inc pays the remaining 40%. The companies will co-commercialize the drug in the United States and split profits and losses equally. Roche will manage all commercialization outside the United States and pay royalties to Nurix.
