Stark County districts place tax issues on ballot
Several school districts in Stark County are asking voters to approve local tax issues and bond measures on election day. The proposals include funding for new elementary school construction and the renewal of existing operating levies.
Plain Local Schools voters are deciding on a $64 million bond issue to construct three new elementary buildings across the district. The vote follows a rejected May ballot request that sought $116.8 million for similar construction. If approved, property owners will pay $122.50 more per year for every $100,000 of land valuation.
