Speaking at the company's annual meeting of shareholders in Suwon, South Korea, top leadership highlighted the significant role AI plays in the current market cycle. Jun Young-hyun, a vice chairman and co-CEO who oversees the chip business, noted that while demand remains high, rising memory chip prices could impact the broader market. The executive warned that these price increases might hit computer and mobile shipments as manufacturers face higher costs for essential components.
