Citizens in Cuba have begun to experience a reprieve from chronic energy shortages following the arrival of a significant shipment of crude from Russia. The delivery, consisting of approximately 700,000 barrels of Urals crude, arrived at Matanzas Bay aboard the Russian-flagged tanker Anatoly Kolodkin in late March. This shipment represents the first major fuel delivery to the island since the United States intensified efforts to restrict the nation's energy supplies earlier this year.
