New York Passes Bill Banning Personalized Pricing

New York lawmakers passed the One Fair Price Act to prohibit businesses from setting individualized prices using personal data such as browsing history and location. If signed by Governor Kathy Hochul, the law would still allow loyalty discounts but require disclosure for dynamic pricing algorithms.
