MOL Group demands Croatia permit Russian oil transit to Hungary and Slovakia

Hungary and Slovakia are urging Croatia to allow Russian oil transit via the JANAF pipeline. Both nations seek to secure energy supplies after the Druzhba halt.

MOL Group and its Slovak unit Slovnaft have announced that Croatian pipeline operator JANAF must permit the transit of Russian RURU seaborne oil to Hungary HUHU and Slovakia SKSK. The companies stated that these shipments are necessary to address an urgent supply shortfall that has emerged since the Druzhba pipeline, which runs through Ukraine UAUA, was halted on January 27. This demand is intended to secure regional energy supplies following the disruption of the primary land-based route.
