Meloni Sees Italy 2026 Growth at 1%
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni projects the national economy will expand by one percent this year. This aligns with broader euro zone growth despite persistent structural challenges.

Italy expects full-year GDP growth of 1% this year, matching the broader euro zone, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in a Saturday interview. The updated outlook surpasses the government's April forecast of 0.6% and matches projections from the national budget watchdog UPB. The revision comes as the country's acquired growth stood at 0.8% at the end of June.
