The government of Australia is set to amend its export-finance laws to strengthen national fuel security as the ongoing conflict involving Iran continues to strain global supply chains. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the move on Saturday, noting that the country, which relies on imports for approximately 90% of its fuel needs, has faced localized shortages since the United States and Israel initiated military actions against Iranian targets.
