Arla commits 354 million dollars to expand Swedish cheese production

Arla is investing 354 million dollars to double capacity at its Gotene factory. The move aims to boost food security and return production back to Sweden.

Danish dairy cooperative Arla announced on Wednesday a €300 million investment through 2030 to expand cheese production at its Gotene factory in Sweden SESE. This initiative, which marks the largest-ever single-factory investment for the company, includes moving the production of the Swedish cheese hushållsost back from the Norre Vium factory in Denmark DKDK.
