Valeo targets massive sales growth in India through new electric vehicle partnership with Mahindra
The French car parts maker will invest over 200 million euros to triple its Indian sales by 2028. This follows a major electric powertrain deal with Mahindra.

The French automotive supplier also confirmed it has been selected to supply electric powertrains for the Born Electric passenger vehicle platform developed by Mahindra & Mahindra Limited . This contract carries a total order value described as close to $1 billion, marking a major milestone for the company’s operations in the electric powertrain and EV sector in India.
The announcement coincides with President Emmanuel Macron’s trip to India, framing the investment as a central component of the economic engagement between France
FR and its Indian partners. Christophe Perillat and the company’s leadership have identified the Indian market as a key pillar of their global growth and innovation roadmap. By 2028, the supplier aims to triple its India sales to reach approximately €700 million, up from current levels.
