UK Bond Dealers See Small Debt Issuance Rise After Budget
British government bond dealers expect a small rise in debt issuance following the upcoming budget. Mid-year revisions will likely shift away from long-dated gilts to their lowest share since 1990 while increasing reliance on Treasury bills.

British government bond dealers expect issuance to rise by £3.4 billion to £249.6 billion ($335 billion) following the October 28 budget. The revision comes as finance minister John Healey faces tighter spending constraints and narrowing fiscal headroom. Bond markets anticipate further borrowing pressures building toward 2027.
