Turkish Economy Grows 3.6% in 2025 Below Estimates
Turkey's economy grew 3.6% in 2025, narrowly missing forecasts. Fourth-quarter growth reached 3.4% year-on-year while rising 0.4% from the previous period.
The economy of Turkey expanded by 3.6% throughout 2025, according to official data released on Monday. The full-year figure came in just below the 3.7% growth projected by analysts in a Reuters poll. Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute revealed that the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.4% year-on-year in the fourth quarter, slightly missing the forecast of 3.5%. On a seasonally and calendar-adjusted basis, the fourth-quarter GDP rose by 0.4% compared to the previous three-month period. The report also included revisions to earlier 2025 performance. Growth for the third quarter was adjusted to 3.8% from the previously reported 3.7%. Conversely, the expansion for the second quarter was revised lower to 4.7% from an initial reading of 4.9%.
