Taiwan raises 2026 economic growth forecast to 7.71 percent

The government today upgraded its 2026 growth outlook from 3.54 percent following a very strong performance in 2025. Full year growth reached 8.68% last year.

The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics announced on Feb. 13, 2026, that it has sharply raised the 2026 economic growth forecast for Taiwan TWTW to 7.71% from a prior estimate of 3.54%. This significant upward revision by the official agency fundamentally alters the official near-term growth outlook for the Taiwan economy (GDP).
