eMed reaches $2 billion valuation in $200 million round
eMed raised $200 million to reach a $2 billion valuation. It plans to use the capital to expand its agentic AI platform and manage GLP-1 medication costs.
The Miami-based telehealth firm eMed has secured $200 million in its latest funding round, propelling the company's valuation to over $2 billion. Based in the United States, the company specializes in managing the usage of GLP-1 obesity and diabetes medications, addressing the significant cost barriers that have limited insurance coverage for these high-demand treatments.
The Series A financing round was led by Aon plc and included participation from several high-profile investors. The capital is earmarked for the advancement of an agentic AI platform and the launch of a new healthcare payment model designed to reduce costs for employers. Prominent backers include seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, who serves as the founding chief wellness officer, and CEO Linda Yaccarino. Other notable investors include Jeff Aronin, the founder and CEO of Paragon Biosciences.
