Switzerland and China finalized an updated free trade agreement on Thursday afternoon, boosting duty-free access for 99.8% of Swiss exports. The accord expands on a 2014 pact that covered roughly half of Swiss shipments to the Asian market. Bilateral trade reached 46 billion Swiss francs ($57.6 billion) so far in 2026, positioning China as the Alpine nation's third-largest trading partner.
