South Korea stocks tumbled to a nine-month low on Friday as Democratic gains in the United States midterm elections triggered a sharp artificial intelligence selloff. The benchmark KOSPI index fell 3.9% to trade at 5,174.84 during the afternoon session after earlier hitting 4,911.28. The drop stems from policy uncertainty surrounding data center expansion and semiconductor demand across the Pacific.
