Leaders from South Korea and Singapore Set for Boao Forum
The Boao Forum will run from March 24 to 27 in Hainan with leaders from South Korea and Singapore attending. The summit focuses on regional economic policy.
Organizers announced on Thursday that several international representatives will attend the upcoming Boao Forum, a high-level summit often described as the regional equivalent to the World Economic Forum held in Switzerland. The event, hosted in China, serves as a platform for global leaders to discuss economic and political cooperation within Asia and beyond.

The forum is scheduled to take place from March 24 to March 27 in the southern province of Hainan. Traditionally, a senior member of the Chinese government addresses the gathering to outline the nation's economic priorities and policy directions.
This year's attendee list features prominent figures from across the continent and neighboring regions. Among the confirmed participants are Prime Minister Kim Min-seok of South Korea and Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore. They will be joined by Sahiba Gafarova, the speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, and Jagath Wickramaratne, the speaker of the parliament of Sri Lanka. Additionally, First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Skylar will represent Kazakhstan.
Last year, the summit featured a keynote from Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang. During his address, he emphasized the government's commitment to providing robust policy support to bolster the domestic economy, which remains the second largest in the world.
