Snap-On First Quarter Profit Rises on Industrial Demand
The toolmaker reported a quarterly profit of $4.69 per share today as revenue reached $1.21 billion. Growth was led by strong sales in the aviation and defense sectors.
SNAP-ON INC reported a rise in first-quarter profit and revenue, bolstered by resilient demand within its commercial and industrial divisions. The industrial toolmaker benefited from high-stakes sectors requiring precision equipment, such as aviation, defense, and power generation. Total revenue for the quarter reached $1.21 billion, an increase from $1.14 billion in the prior year, while earnings per share climbed to $4.69 from $4.51.
Growth was particularly pronounced in the commercial and industrial segment, where revenue jumped to $381 million from $343.9 million a year ago. This performance was led by the specialty torque business and critical industries. The company highlighted that the aviation sector remains a significant driver of demand, as the need for fuel-efficient aircraft persists despite delivery delays affecting major manufacturers like BOEING CO/THE and AIRBUS SE.
