RMZ Group plans to invest $35 billion over five years in data centers and AI factories. The firm is considering an IPO to raise permanent, long-term capital.

This strat egic move mark s a significan t scaling of o perations for t he firm, which i ntends to fund t he growth thr ough a combina tion of debt a nd equity. The c apital will be d irected towar d a diverse po rtfolio, inclu ding co-locati on data center s, AI factori es, and mixed- use commercial o ffice developm ents. Addition ally, the grou p plans to ret urn to the res idential proje ct sector. Acc ording to the c ompany, India c urrently gener ates approxima tely 20% of th e world's data b ut accounts f or only 2% of t he global dat a center capac ity. This disp arity has turn ed the nation i nto one of the m ost competiti ve markets for c omputing capa city. To addre ss this gap, t he firm is tar geting 1.5 gig awatts of co-l ocation capaci ty—facilities w here customer s house their o wn servers whi le the operato r provides pow er and securit y—at a capital o utlay of $12 b illion to $15 b illion. The re mainder of the i nvestment is s lated for comm ercial real es tate, specifi cally office d evelopments de signed to serv e global capab ility centers. RMZ Group m aintains a str ong presence a cross major ur ban hubs, incl uding Bengaluru, Mumbai, a nd Hyderabad.
