Republican Chris McGowan secured a first term representing Iowa's 4th Congressional District with 60% of the vote over Democratic opponent Dave Dawson late Tuesday night. The race for the United States congressional seat was called during late evening on Nov. 3 by major networks. McGowan held a fundraising advantage across the election cycle, bringing in $860,000 compared to Dawson's $260,000.
