Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy requested Patriot air defense systems and interceptors from the United States following an escalation in Russia missile strikes. The request follows a strike on Sunday, when Ukrainian forces intercepted 11 of 30 Russian ballistic missiles. Securing these systems is critical as ballistic missiles remain Moscow's primary battlefield advantage in the fifth year of conflict.
