Polk County Voters Decide Fairgrounds Tax
Polk County voters are deciding today on a five-year property tax measure to fund fairgrounds operations and maintenance. If the levy fails, leaders warn the historic Rickreall site will permanently close.

Voters across United States county districts face a November ballot measure to fund the Polk County Fairgrounds through a five-year property tax levy. The proposal costs 12 cents per $1,000 of assessed value to support operations. Failure of the vote risks closure of the Rickreall facility.
