Poland to Vote on Central Bank Chief
Poland's parliament will vote in November on referring central bank governor Adam Glapinski to a state tribunal over constitution violations. Glapinski denies the accusations while officials weigh the required majority.

Poland's lower house will vote in the second half of November on whether to bring central bank governor Adam Glapiński before a state tribunal over constitutional violations. The parliamentary committee voted to recommend the tribunal referral after hearing more than 50 witnesses in an inquiry launched in May 2024. The proceedings test the institutional boundaries of monetary authority independence in Europe's seventh-largest economy.
