Poland Extends Border Controls to March 2027
Poland has announced it will extend temporary border controls with Germany and Lithuania for another six months until March 2027. The Interior Ministry stated the measure helps curb illegal migration and reinforces national security.

Poland will extend temporary border controls along its Germany and Lithuania frontiers for six months through March 30, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday afternoon. The prolongation maintains restrictions first introduced in July 2025 alongside fellow European Union members. The measure aims to manage migration pressure and bolster regional security.
