PIRAEUS BANK SA, the third-largest lender in Greece by market value, announced on Thursday its intention to double its dividend per share by the end of the decade. The bank expects the payout to reach 0.80 euros by 2030, up from the 0.40 euros projected for 2025.

As part of its 2026-2030 strategic plan, the bank anticipates that total shareholder value—comprising tangible book value and dividends—will grow at an annual rate of 13%. This long-term outlook follows the bank's announcement earlier this month of net earnings reaching 1.07 billion euros for 2025, compared to 1.06 billion euros in 2024.

The growth strategy is underpinned by a significant expansion in lending. Piraeus Bank SA forecasts that its performing loans will increase from 37 billion euros last year to 56 billion euros by 2030, supported by strong demand from both retail and corporate borrowers. Additionally, the bank is targeting a cost-to-income ratio of approximately 30% throughout the 2026-2030 period.
