This result, which slightly exceeded the average analyst forecast of 996 million euros in an LSEG poll, was largely driven by robust earnings at its subsidiary in Poland[Country:{ \"assets\":{ \"country\":\"PL\" } }], Bank Millennium S.A.[Symbol:{ \"assets\":{ \"symbol\":\"MIL.WA\" } }]. The Polish unit's net income soared 67% to 283.7 million euros, even as it continued to manage charges related to its Swiss franc mortgage portfolio, which have notably decreased. In light of the record performance, Millennium bcp proposed a new shareholder remuneration plan at its shareholders meeting, aiming to distribute 50% of net income as dividends through 2028. Combined with a regular share buyback program, total shareholder remuneration could reach as much as 90% of profits, a significant increase from the current 75% payout limit.
