Piaggio reports 49 percent drop in 2025 net profit
The Vespa maker reported a 34 million euro net profit for 2025 as sales fell to 1.5 billion euros. The group will not pay an additional annual dividend.
The renowned manufacturer of Vespa scooters, based in Italy, reported a significant decline in its annual net profit for 2025. Despite the downturn, the results for PIAGGIO & C SPA-UNSP ADR managed to exceed analyst expectations. The company reported a 49% drop in its 2025 net profit to 34 million euros ($39 million), surpassing a company-provided analyst consensus of 32 million euros.
Sales for the year fell 11.8% to 1.50 billion euros, slightly missing market estimates of 1.51 billion euros. Piaggio noted that it maintained very positive margins by focusing on making its internal processes more efficient. The group's 2025 EBITDA fell 12.5% to 250.8 million euros, finishing slightly below the consensus of 251 million euros. Consequently, the EBITDA margin for the year came in at 16.7%, a minor decrease from the 16.9% recorded in 2024.
