Oil prices hovered near flat during Thursday morning trade as investors weighed diplomatic talks involving the United States and Iran against recovering Gulf crude exports. Brent Crude Oil rose 12 cents to $98.15 a barrel, while West Texas Oil fell 7 cents to $90.35 a barrel. Both benchmarks had gained about $1 a barrel during the previous day's session.
