The government of Nigeria has implemented a price cap on aviation fuel and established a credit facility for domestic carriers to prevent a potential collapse of the air travel sector. According to a document from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the new price range for jet fuel is set between 1,760 and 1,988 naira ($1.29 to $1.46) per litre in Lagos, with slightly higher rates of 1,809 to 2,037 naira in the capital city of Abuja.
