LNG Canada exported 1 million metric tons of LNG in April, the highest monthly volume since operations began. This record performance marks the first time a Canada facility has reached this monthly threshold. Direct Pacific access allows the plant to bypass Panama Canal bottlenecks and serve high-demand Asian markets efficiently.
### Asian Demand Drives Record Volumes All April volumes from the facility reached Asian ports, with South Korea purchasing more than 50% of the total supply. LSEG data confirmed the record-breaking month for the project, which is the first major export terminal on the West Coast of North America.
