Leslies Pool Supplies Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Leslies Pool Supplies has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced plans to close 26 stores across California as part of a nationwide restructuring effort. The retailer intends to continue operating remaining locations and online sales while reducing debt to emerge stronger in early 2027.
Leslie's Pool Supplies will close 26 stores across California as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring affecting 76 locations nationwide. The Phoenix-based pool maintenance retailer aims to emerge from Chapter 11 protection in early 2027 with a smaller footprint. California accounts for the largest share of the reductions, spanning the Bay Area, Southern California, and the Central Valley.
CEO Jason McDonell said the restructuring is designed to reduce debt and allow the retailer to reinvest in its remaining stores and online operations. The company plans to keep operating during the Chapter 11 process, though specific closure dates for individual stores remain unannounced.
