Japan's Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama stated on Tuesday that the government will maintain close coordination with Group of Seven (G7) nations as global financial markets continue to experience high levels of volatility. Katayama noted during a press conference that G7 finance ministers and central bank governors recently reached a shared understanding that geopolitical developments in the Middle East and significant swings in Brent Crude Oil prices are exerting a broad impact across global markets.
