The government of Italy is holding high-level discussions with the United States, Azerbaijan, and Algeria to secure alternative gas supplies. This diplomatic effort follows Iranian strikes on Qatar, which have reportedly halted the nation's energy exports for an extended period. Energy Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin confirmed the outreach on Friday, stating that the government is moving quickly to offset the loss of Middle Eastern supplies.
