Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey announced the review during an event in India on Tuesday afternoon. The move aims to deepen a corporate bond market that remains underdeveloped compared to the nation's equity sector.

### Modernizing the Bond Ecosystem The regulator is preparing a pilot program for the tokenization of corporate bonds with rollout expected in six to nine months. This initiative involves converting debt securities into digital tokens on a shared ledger. Pandey said the use of digital ledger technology will enable near-instant settlements for market participants.
