Hims & Hers Health Inc missed first-quarter revenue estimates and posted a surprise loss as it pivoted toward branded weight-loss medications. Shares fell more than 10% to $25.58 in late evening trading. The shift to branded GLP-1 drugs is pressuring margins as the firm moves away from higher-margin compounded alternatives.
### Margin Pressure from Strategy Pivot The telehealth provider reported a first-quarter loss of 40 cents per share, missing the analyst estimate for a 4-cent profit. CFO Yemi Okupe said the loss stemmed from write-downs on ingredients for compounded semaglutide and one-time legal and merger costs.
