Handelsbanken Q1 Net Profit Beats Market Expectations
Handelsbanken reported a first-quarter net profit of 6.36 billion crowns on Wednesday. This result beat forecasts and was supported by strong fund inflows.
Sweden's major financial institution AB SA reported a first-quarter net profit on Wednesday that exceeded market expectations, supported by strong net inflows into the bank's investment funds.

The lender announced that its net profit rose 6% to 6.36 billion Swedish crowns ($693 million), up from 5.97 billion crowns in the same period last year. This result significantly outperformed the mean analyst forecast of 5.69 billion crowns, according to LSEG estimates. The bank highlighted that the net inflow to its various funds remained healthy throughout the first three months of the year.
Handelsbanken continues to navigate a competitive landscape alongside other regional giants, including SWEDBANK AB - A SHARES, SEB, and NORDEA BANK ABP. The positive earnings report reflects the bank's resilience and its ability to attract capital despite broader market fluctuations.
