Supply chain pressures rose to 1.28 in September
The New York Fed reports its Global Supply Chain Pressure Index rose to 1.28 in September from August. The increase highlights persistent supply constraints.

Global supply chain pressures rose to 1.28 in September, up from an upwardly revised 1.20 in August, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The increase reverses part of the retreat seen since May, when the index hit 1.81. That reading remains far below the pandemic-era peak of 4.43 recorded in December 2021 across the United States and international trade routes.
