German recession risk jumps amid Iran conflict

The economic outlook for Germany has darkened significantly as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East exert pressure on global energy markets and supply chains. According to a study by the Institute for Macroeconomics and Economic Research (IMK), the probability of the nation entering a recession during the second quarter has surged to 33.5%, a sharp increase from the 11.6% recorded in early March.
