Wholesale prices in Germany rose 6.8% in August compared with the same month last year, marking the fastest pace in over three years. The surge was driven by energy and raw material costs resulting from the conflict in Iran and the Middle East, the federal statistics office said on Tuesday. The last higher reading was 9.5% in February 2023.
