A worker injured in a Lake Maracaibo gas facility explosion died Tuesday morning following a fire that injured six people in Venezuela. The Friday afternoon blast damaged the processing plant in the energy-producing state of Zulia.
The worker died at a hospital in Maracaibo four days after the initial explosion, five people familiar with the matter said. The fire caused damage to the facility during the Friday afternoon incident.
